Book Review of Artemis Fowl, by Eion Calfer
GREAT! (4 stars)
Artemis Fowl is an action packed suspenseful book. The action is constantly shifting and keeps you on your toes. You would think one thing was going to happen and it would then totally change to something else happening. The main character is Artemis Fowl, an eleven-year-old kid who’s a criminal mastermind and he has the highest IQ in Europe and he’s a millionaire. Other characters are his bodyguard Butler, and Holly Short, A LepRecon Captain. If you’re wondering, yes–she is a fairy. Artemis Fowl is an evil, greedy, selfish character. ” I don’t care if I put the world in grave danger, the world isn’t me, and I will be rich.”
Butler is a highly trained warrior-bodyguard for Artemis. “Very well captain the beast shall live another day. Luckily for him I’m in a good mood. Holly is the first girl LepRecon recruit. LepRecon is a swat, CIA, Special Forces team, for the Fairy’s. Artemis fowl is a book about Artemis Fowl who wants to steal some of the Fairy’s massive amounts of gold. This book is SCIFI realistic fiction book. Most of the time this book is set in Ireland but many other places too. A book I have read like this one is the young bond book. Its like the fowl books because it has lots hi-tech gadgets just like Artemis fowl books. And lots of the same suspense, life or death kind of suspense. But by far I think the Artemis fowl books are much better and that Eion Colfer made a great book worth reading.

I was a bit skeptical, but this an easy affordable option that had a wonderful outcome. The book got to me in three or four days, and was in really good condition. I look forward to my next purchase! (I got the book for less than half of what I would’ve paid retail… including shipping!) If you can wait a few days for your book, go this route!

If you want to see the best Neil Diamond Live Concert, get his late 70s “Love at the Greek.” He will never perform like that again! This one doesn’t come close, but hey, sometimes concert performances are rare and you have to settle for anything.
As usual, he has the audience revved up and interactive. The man is a true performer. But, for “I Am I Said”, that passionate, lonesome feeling he is able to emote just doesn’t come through on this show. “Headed For the Future” shows the music video he did for this song.
Filmed live at the Aquarius Theatre in Los Angeles in 1988 and it is punctuated by his 80s music with the few 70s classics included the fun “Forever in Blue Jeans.” He also offers a tribute song to John Lennon.
Linda Press, the sole female in the band joins him for millionth time for “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers.” Neil, give that poor girl another song too sing! She has been doing this song and only this song at your concerts for years, even today!!!
So, enjoy an o.k. performance, but for a magical experience get “Love at the Greek.” …..MzRizz

I enjoyed this first book in a Harry Potter-sortof way. It’s good, fun escapism. What I like is how the tempo of the book changes from criminal drama to comedy to fantasy to spy novel, etc, etc… Initially, you aren’t really sure what is going on, but eventually the young anti-hero idea catches on and becomes a very entertaining narrative. Nathaniel Parker provides a fantastic narration, reminiscent of Jim Dale’s excellent characterization for the Potter audio books.
Having finished the first couple books, I’m led to think of the first two books almost as a continuous story, with many of the same characters recurring.
Worth checking out.

I have owned many pedometers but this is by far the best one I have owned. I have only one small complaint which is not necessarily the fault of the pedometer but something that should be included in future models. I typically walk a treadmill with a high incline but fairly low pace. The Pedometer records steps but does not give any KCAL credit for the fact I am walking at a 6.2 incline. Anyways, that is my only complaint. Other than that it records steps very accurately. I LOVE EVERYTHING ELSE!! I would just like a little more credit for the workout intensity.

My dog is a German Sheperd/Husky mix and she sheds a lot.
She loves getting brushed and this tool is no exception.
Tons of fur is always on the ground after just a quick session with the tool.
