Welcome to ABC!

The Arkansas Breastfeeding Coalition is dedicated to protecting and promoting breastfeeding in Arkansas. ABC's membership is composed of mothers, healthcare professionals, and others who are dedicated to breastfeeding not just as "the best" way to feed a child, but as the biological norm for the human species.

In the 2007 General Assembly, ABC proposed, lobbied for, and eventually secured unanimous passage of two laws that protect nursing in public.

ABC is currently working working to pass more legislation in the 2009 session to protect workplace pumping. Employers can and have prevented nursing mothers from pumping for their babies on their own time. Help us to change the business environment to a more family friendly one, and join our efforts to make Arkansas a breastfeeding-friendly state.
